Although they are not luxury flights, not even with on-board services, the idea of traveling on a cheap plane is increasingly attracting Brazilians. And JetSmart is an excellent company option for purchasing itineraries.
But is it really worth flying with JetSmart? How does a low cost flight work? If you have questions and want to know more about the Chilean company, continue reading to check it out!
What is it like to travel with JetSmart?
Firstly, it is important to highlight that the company only operates ultra-low cost flights. In other words, onboard services that are available on regular flights from other companies do not work here.
However, if you don't mind this type of service, it's worth traveling with JetSmart to save money! Do you want to better understand how the company's flights work? We bring some details below.
flight classes
Like other companies with low cost flights, JetSmart does not have different seat categories, but rather fares with different benefits. In other words, if you want to fly in more comfortable seats, this is not the ideal company.
However, if you don't mind luxuries, you can choose between the Light, Smart and FullFlex tariffs. The difference is just the number of bags you can carry and check, seat choice and ticket change.
services and entertainment
If you like watching movies, series or even checking the flight path while traveling, be aware that these options are not available on low cost flights. On longer trips, this type of service may end up being missed.
That's why it's good to weigh the pros and cons to make sure it's worth traveling with JetSmart. If you don't mind the lack of entertainment, you can download films and series on your cell phone to watch on the flight.
Meals
Even the longest flights, generally lasting 6 hours, do not offer complimentary meals. However, if you prefer, you can pay and order snacks, drinks, cakes and other options available on the menu.
There are no full meals available such as lunch or dinner, is that ok? Furthermore, payment must be made with Chilean pesos, US dollars or via international credit card.
As we have already informed you, there are different flight rates to choose from on JetSmart, each one offers different types of benefits such as cancellation, change and, of course, baggage. In fact, it is worth remembering that the dimensions are quite rigid!
In this sense, if you purchased the cheapest rate that does not include checked bags, you will need to purchase this service separately. If you buy in advance, the price per bag is $7,900.00 CLP.
If you're looking to save money, then JetSmart flights are definitely worth checking out. Currently, it operates itineraries between Rio de Janeiro and Santiago, Chile. Or even, Foz do Iguaçu and Santiago.
However, the intention is to soon offer low-cost domestic flights! So, keep an eye out so you don't miss out on the savings! By the way, do you want to know how to buy your ticket with JetSmart? Just access below!
